Friends,

Just to let you know that the Board of Directors met on July 17th and the decision is to continue moving Sophia's Portico forward into the future.  I have been asked to serve as the Executive Director which I have agreed to do.  Filling Margaret's shoes will not be easy but I will do my very best.  Terri Duclos has been nominated to the position of President and Laurie Rainey Schmidt to the position of Vice-President.  Elections will take place in October.  We have developed a program committee to look at new offerings.  The next newsletter will be coming out in late August so watch for details.  Be sure to continue checking this site for more up-to-date news. We pledge to you to continue the mission of Sophia's Portico.  We ask of you your continued support.
